MSN's Mosaic advertising campaign required the vectorization of hundreds of headshots. The process started with a professional photoshoot in San Francisco. Each member of the 'cast' was carefully chosen and posed for hundreds of photos. The four best shots from each sitting were picked and submitted to me for vectorization. Using a posterized version of the shot for reference, I created a refined black and white illustration. This illustration was then passed along to the ad developer/programmer, who inserted it into ads like the one you see here. To date, I have done over 200 such illustrations. |
