This is one of a series of animations created for a campaign promoting MSN Search. Using several clips as a reference, I put together a looping, eight-frame animation of a marathon runner. I also provided background elements (the crowd and an onlooker holding a cup of water) and a variation of the running animation where the runner pours water onto himself. The developer then took these elements and combined them as you see here. As you can likely tell, a few frames of the animation had to be cut to keep the file size in check.
